Adam worked for us on a major rebuild for our house in Walton-on-Thames.His work involved overall project management, design consultation, quality control and ongoing communications. The communication aspect was key for us, since we were not in country when the building work was taking place.

The building program was very extensive with only one room being untouched. The work covered an extension with a new kitchen, new cloakroom, utility, garage, art studio and master bedroom/ensuite. Modifications to the existing house included the integration of the existing kitchen into a new lounge, the removal of a hall cloakroom, the removal on an upstairs bathroom, the conversion of a bedroom to a family bathroom. The building of a new staircase. Complete re-flooring, new ceilings, new electrics, new plumbing.Adam was an ongoing source of design ideas, whether from an overall build perspective, down to more detailed designs including lighting, electrics, kitchens etc.It was a pleasure to have Adam on the project.

When we decided we needed a bigger space for our growing family we couldn’t figure out how to go about adding an extra bedroom and having a new kitchen and living space out of what we already had. Adam came up with a design that not only gave us an extra bedroom but was almost a complete new house. He came up with ideas that would never have occurred to us and the result is brilliant. We still have visitors remark how lovely it is.

“We hired Adam based on a friends recommendation and were very impressed by his approach throughout the project.  The proposed designs not only captured our original requirements but also incorporated many ‘best use of space’ recommendations that we hadn’t considered. The subsequent building works were well planned with effective scheduling of the different trades – considerate to causing minimal disruption to our home life. Whenever changes were required due to logistical challenges onsite there was good, open communication that avoided impact to overall timescales. When we requested changes to the plan (as you might expect there were a few!) it was never an issue for Adam and his team – they were professional and pragmatic throughout; always focussed on our best interests.

We now have a home that works really well for us and our growing family. We would highly recommend Adam.”

We wanted to refurbish our flat but did not want any of the hassle or stress that seems to go hand in hand with a large project like ours; we also wanted innovative design. The whole process was completely free of stress and all of our friends who have seen it pre and post refurbishment are totally stunned with the end result, and with the easy, problem free process that we experienced. We would recommend adam and are happy to show our flat as an example of great workmanship.”

“adam came up with loads of ideas for my garden design and I now have a wonderful office and a beautiful garden. I’m sure they have pushed the fences back on each side because I seem to have a much bigger garden now! If you need help with any home or garden design, I would not hesitate in recommending adam.”

“It has been a pleasure to work with Adam on our rather unusual project. He has come up with some new and different ideas and has been very helpful and approachable. Our building work has now started and we’re very pleased with the results.”

Christine Mitchell, Walton on Thames

Adam Fahey of blue qube design provided us with a great new showroom within a tight deadline and with the usual limited budget. The layout and design depended on extremely accurate measurements and drawings, as all the furniture was made in Austria and shipped over with Austrian fitters, who only had three days to put it all together. How it all fitted Ive no idea but it did and it all looks fantastic! I cannot recommend him high enough!”

J Morgan – Natural Elements

“We commend you for your excellent performance and wish to express our appreciation for your professional efforts and your cooperation throughout the design of this project, especially for your competency in providing both Architectural and Interior Design services for this project.”

H Nyamie, SE1

“blue qube design transformed my tired flat into a high spec luxury apartment replete with design features and striking attention to detail. A listed building brings inherent design and planning difficulties but Adam overcame all, bringing fresh thinking allied with raw enthusiasm, uniquely combining architectural flair with knowledge of methods and materials. He managed the project, kept me informed and was wonderfully fastidious to the end. Staying in now brings as much pleasure as going out.”
